Easy to read (does not split IgM and IgG) and just as reliable
This test measures both IgM and IgG, but does not show which of them is measured. If the test is positive, you have either IgM, IgG or both in the body. This makes it easier to read and understand: If you have any antibody to the Corona virus in your body, this test will show it! This means that you either have an ongoing infection (if you have symptoms) or that you have had Covid-19.
Both specificity and sensitivity have very high reliability and the accuracy of the test on average is higher than most similar tests!
Reliability and function
The test measures the antibodies IgM and IgG (but does not distinguish them), which means that if the Coronavirus is present in the body, after three days there are also antibodies that can be detected. Day 1-3 after a person is infected by the virus, there are no antibodies in the body. Day 4, there is enough for the test to be able to detect it reliably.
Most people infected by Covid-19 begin to show symptoms on day 7-14 after becoming infected. This means that the test can detect if the person is already infected before the person has any symptoms. When the symptoms begin to appear, there are a lot of antibodies throughout the body, which makes the test very reliable. This has been demonstrated in clinical trials and below are data showing the average safety of the test. Reliability increases the longer the person carries the virus and also detects antibodies when the person no longer has symptoms.
Therefore, it may be good to test again after 5-10 days, if the test has shown negative at the first sampling, to ensure that the person really does not carry or has been infected Covid-19.
Reliability according to clinical tests
specificity: 98.3 %
Sensitivity: 95.0 %
The test is easy to perform and done in three easy steps.
1. Add 10 µL of blood 2. Add 2 drops of buffer solution 3. Read the result after 15 min
